Tom Brady

I mean we have to start with Tom Brady leaving the Patriots. We are already seeing the effects of the decision on Wednesday. Players are leaving New England like we haven’t seen before.

On the field losing Brady is a major loss. There is no other way to describe losing the greatest quarterback in NFL history.

More from New England Patriots

The offense was built for Brady. Now that he is gone things will have to change.

There is also the off the field effect. Brady was the face of the New England Patriots. It would be like the Bruins letting Patrice Bergeron walk away and play for another team. It’s something that you could never imagine happening.

It will take players a while to get used to it. Seeing someone besides No.12 under center will be weird for a while.

But there is a positive. We get to move to the next chapter. Instead of not being prepared for Tom Brady to leave, New England has a chance to rebuild and retool. Hopefully, soon enough we will see the Patriots atop the AFC.

The loss of Tom Brady sent ripple effects through the New England Patriots and the entire NFL. No matter your thoughts on the QB it is the move that will affect New England the most.
