The New England Patriots revealed there new jerseys and even though there aren’t any major changes, there is some good news for Patriots fans.

The New England Patriots have ushered in a new era by getting some new uniforms. Now that Tom Brady is gone, the Patriots have a new look.

On Patriots Day, New England rolled out their new uniforms and I’m not disappointed but I’m not excited either. They really didn’t make any major changes.

The teaser video made me believe we would see some royal blue and a possible homage to the teams of the 1990s. Seeing those giant Patriots logos on the shoulders would sure be interesting.

But now all we got is stripes. New England is basically using color rush jerseys as their home and away uniforms.

Now, this isn’t necessarily a critique. I believe the jerseys look rather good. It just seemed like New England could have done better.

Check out the video the Patriots released and you can see for yourself what the Patriots will be rocking.

Now there is something rather major to come out of this jersey release. We might be getting a return of one of our favorite jerseys in franchise history.

The NFL has a rule that prohibits a team from using more than one helmet in a season. A pretty stupid rule seeing that across the league many teams have amazing alternate or throwback helmets and uniforms.

If this rule was to be changed we could see a return of the classic red uniforms with Pat the Patriot on the side of the white helmets.

"Ferron did leave the door open that, if the NFL ever changed the rule to allow more than one helmet per season, the red uniforms could certainly make a comeback as the team’s alternate.“Our primary uniforms in the modern era have been blue and white and they will remain so,” Ferron said. “We recognize that fans also have an affinity for the red ‘throwback’ uniform and we hope to incorporate that into our uniform rotation in the future.”"

These are probably my favorite uniforms New England has ever had. The red just pops and the helmet is a work of art. If these jerseys allow for the classic red’s to come back it will definitely be worth it.

But for now, the New England Patriots have a new look and it isn’t all that bad. Some teams have made grave mistakes when changing uniforms so seeing that New England made slight changes is a good sign. It will definitely be interesting to see how these look out on the field.
