Patrice Bergeron-Brad Marchand-Tyler Seguin

This line was probably one of the most skilled lines that Bergeron had ever played on. Marchand was coming into his own and young stud Tyler Seguin was added to the mix.

Seguin was a hyped-up prospect who added a ton of skill to the Bruins. In his first full season with Boston, he had 29 goals and 38 assists. That’s impressive for a 20-year-old.

The 2011-12 season was also a special one for Bergeron. He would win the first Selke award of his career and also had an outstanding +36 personal rating.

The Bruins once again made it into the playoffs but this time they weren’t as successful. The Washington Capitals ended up beating the B’s and knocked them out in the 1st round.

It would have been interesting to see what Seguin and that first line could have done if he wasn’t traded. It seems that the move has worked out for both sides. Now the Bruins are reaping the benefits of having David Pastrnak.

Before we get to Bergeron’s current linemates we have to talk about another Czech legend.
