Cam Newton spoke to the media for the first time since becoming a member of the New England Patriots and it seems that the QB loves New England.

When Cam Newton signed with the New England Patriots, critics wondered how he would fit in with Bill Belichick and the Patriots culture. It appears that won’t be a problem at all.

Newton and Belichick seem to be like oil and water. Whenever you see Newton he is smiling while Belichick seems to always have the same look on his face whether his team is winning by 50 points or losing by 50 points.

Newton spoke to the media for the first time on Friday. It was our first chance to see how Newton was looking and his thoughts on becoming a member of the Patriots.

One of the major things you could take away from the press conference is just how happy Newton was. Seeing the smile on Newton’s face you saw that he was really enjoying New England so far.

Also when directly asked about Belichick, Newton made sure to note that sometimes things aren’t what they seem.

All in all one thing is clear, Newton loves being in New England.

This is exactly what Patriots fans want to hear. Cam isn’t going to have a big ego he is just happy to be here. He’s happy to have a fresh start on a new team.

If Patriots fans aren’t already excited they should be. Cam seems to be bought in and that means trouble for opposing teams. He could have one of the best seasons in his career in New England.

With Belichick coaching him and offensive mastermind Josh McDaniels cooking up the offensive scheme all the stars seem to be aligning.

New England has never had a quarterback like Newton. He has great arm strength but also can tuck the ball and run for a first down. The Patriots might do just fine without Tom Brady.

Also if Newton is this happy in New England he might not be a one and done player. Newton could possibly spend the rest of his career with the team.

So don’t worry Patriots fans, Cam will fit in just fine in New England.
