Stephon Gilmore

The most important player on defense for the New England Patriots is Stephon Gilmore. He will need to impeccable in 2020.

Key players like Dont’a Hightower are not with the team. Gilmore is without a doubt New England’s best player on defense.

Week in and week out, Gilmore will be tasked with covering the oppositions’ top wideout. In Week One that means going up against DeVante Parker.

Parker and Gilmore actually have some history. They have gone at it a few times on social media. In the last matchup between the two, Parker had eight receptions for 137 yards. Not exactly the best day at the office for Gilmore.

Gilmore will be looking to prove that he hasn’t lost a step and is the best corner in the NFL. Also, he will be looking to show Parker who the better player is.

If the Patriots are going to successful, Gilmore needs to be on top of his game. Going up against Parker will be a great test to see if Gilmore still reigns supreme among NFL cornerbacks.
