Sony Michel

This is a make or break year for Sony Michel. After a down season in 2019, Michel needs to be better in 2020.

New England will be relying on Michel a lot more. Now that Brady is gone, New England is relying much more on the running game.

In Week 1 Newton was the clear leader on the ground and after that, it was a clear drop off. Michel was the next leading rusher. He had 10 carries for 37 yards and a touchdown.

Michel didn’t look bad as he did last season but he needs to gain more yards. Putting up 37 yards against the Dolphins defense is unacceptable.

Things will only get more difficult for Michel and the rushing game. Seattle’s defense is one of the best in the NFL.

A key thing to watch is how well Michel is gaining yards. He has struggled to gain yards consistently and sometimes will only average two yards a carry.

If Michel doesn’t improve, this could be his last season in New England.
