Grading the 5 bold player predictions in the New England Patriots thrilling 35-30 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.

The New England Patriots are still the New England Patriots.  With Cam Newton running the show, they are proving to be a more fun team.

No knock on you Tom Brady, but what Newton can do both running the ball and passing the ball when healthy gives the Patriots an entertaining dynamic on offense that keeps opposing defenses guessing.

With two rushing touchdowns and 397 yards passing in the 35-30 loss, Cam Newton showed the rest of the NFL something.  He showed that he is still a very dangerous quarterback and he showed he can led this New England Patriots offense to be respectable.

As a whole, Bill Belichick’s team showed the rest of the NFL that they are still here and they are going to still be a factor.

"“It was a heck of a football game,” Belichick said after the game.  “They obviously played a little bit better than we did and deserved to win.  They have a good football team.  They have a great quarterback.  I’m glad that we only have to play him once every four years.  I think he’s a tremendous player.  They. Have a lot of good players.  In the end, we just came up a little bit short and I’m proud of the way that our guys competed here.  We just didn’t quite have enough.”"

For this Week 2 battle, I predicted big games from Ja’Whaun Bentley, James White, J.C. Jackson, Cam Newton and Julian Edelman.

How did those five players perform in the 35-30 loss?

Here are the grades for the 5 bold player predictions in the New England Patriots loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the Sunday night thriller.
