J.C. Jackson with a quiet game

It was an off night for the New England Patriots secondary Sunday night.

Not only did Russell Wilson get his, but the wide receiver duo of D.K Metcalf and Tyler Lockett both had big nights, particularly Metcalf who burned Stephon Gilmore on a 54-yard touchdown reception.

It happens, but how did the Patriots second cornerback do?

J.C. Jackson didn’t get the interception as predicted, but it was more surprising that Wilson went after Gilmore than challenging the hungry Jackson to received high praise from Patriots head coach Bill Belichick prior to the Week 2 matchup with the Seahawks.

Overall, there were no negative plays that really stood out which is good for Jackson, but he also didn’t make any significant plays on the ball.  In grading J.C. Jackson, you really have to grade the entire secondary because there did seem to be some communication issues on a couple plays.

You better believe the dangerous duo of Stephon Gilmore and J.C. Jackson will bounce back in the team’s Week 3 battle with the Oakland Raiders.
