Cam Newton did indeed shine on the big stage

The Sunday night matchup that pitted Cam Newton against Russell Wilson lived up to the billing.

The New England Patriots were stopped short of upsetting the Seattle Seahawks, but the team still made a statement with the loss.

Not only did they have a shot at winning the game, but the fashion in which they were able to come back and not quit was the most impressive takeaway from the game.

Cam Newton not only passed for over 300 yards as predicted, but he had two rushing touchdowns as well.  While a third would’ve won the game, Newton’s performance against a hard-hitting Seahawks defense was absolutely extraordinary.

Not only did he make great throws, he made the right throws when needed.  Despite coming up short, that final drive was impressive in how he was able to move the ball down the field just like Tom Brady.

With 397 yards passing, Cam Newton and the New England Patriots offense proved they may not be so bad in the passing game, especially if this next player continues forming chemistry with Newton.
