Here are five New England Patriots players picked to have a big game against the Las Vegas Raiders in the Week 3 matchup.
The New England Patriots will be a factor in the AFC.
With the Week 2 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks set up as a measuring stick, Cam Newton and the Patriots came up victorious even though they lost the game 35-30, coming up just short of completing a big-time comeback.
In dropping to 1-1 on the season, the Patriots proved quite a bit in that game. The defense was subpar, but offensively we saw Cam Newton look just as good if not better than he did during his 2015 MVP season. We saw the wide receivers ball it out.
Julian Edelman owned Seahawks safety Jamal Adams, and Newton round trust in both N’Keal Harry and Damiere Byrd who both combined for over 140 receiving yards.
Definitely some positives, but as Bill Belichick highlighted, “It’s a continuous work in progress” for the New England Patriots as it always is early in the season.
In coming back from two scores down, the team showed character and most importantly, Cam Newton showed a leadership at the quarterback position the team and fans are accustomed to.
The real challenge now is building off that game against the Seattle Seahawks and taking care of a team like the Las Vegas Raiders, who present some different challenges.
There will be some storylines to watch in this game, a couple of which are involved in this week’s version of the five bold player predictions. Which New England Patriots players will step up?
Here we go.
