Jayson Tatum

It shouldn’t come as a surprise but the Boston Celtics can not move Jayson Tatum. He is the future of the franchise. Boston needs to build around the young star not try and use him as trade bait.

Tatum proved that he was worth building around this past season. He had the best performances of his career averaging 23.4 points and seven rebounds a game. He showed that he can be relied on in the clutch and is ready to be the guy.

It might be tempting to try and trade Tatum due to his value being so high, but it isn’t worth it. You need to prove to players that you are willing to invest in them.

Also, you have to consider Tatum’s potential. If he is putting up such great numbers early in his career, imagine what he will do in his prime. He definitley appears to be a player that can take you to the NBA Finals.

The future of the Celtics should be in Tatum’s hands. Give him the keys, and see just how far he can take this team. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him win at least one banner for Boston.

So no matter what the Celtics shouldn’t trade Tatum. If they do it could likely cost them a chance at a title or maybe even more.
