New England Patriots: 3 reasons for fans to be thankful in 2020 – No.1: Damien Harris breaks out

So far in 2020, Damien Harris has been the breakout star for the New England Patriots. He might have just earned himself the starting job moving forward and seems to be a key part of the Pats offense.

Harris has been a great change of pace in the backfield. Compared to Sony Michel he is able to gain yards at a much greater pace. His debut season has been nothing but a success.

Harris has run for over 500 yards and two touchdowns. This includes three games of over 100 yards rushing. He has done everything that has been asked of him by the Patriots.

Moving forward it seems as though Harris will be the starting running back moving forward. With Michel’s struggles, it seems as though he lost his place on the depth chart and can be declared a bust at this point.

Harris has a bright future and should give Patriots hope moving forward. With the Patriots being forced to rely on the run much more often, it seems like New England’s offense is in good hands.

So even though it has been a rough season. Patriots fans still have a reason to be thankful. Things could be much worse (at least we aren’t the Jets).
