New England Patriots: 3 players whose stock dropped in Week 12 – No.2: Sony Michel

Week 12 had a lot of promise for Sony Michel. The running back was primed to make his return after a lengthy stint on Injured Reserve. It’s fair to say that Michel failed to live up to expectations.

Michel only was on the field for one play and he did exactly nothing. It seems as though Belichick has made his statement, Michel isn’t the starter anymore.

It’s rather clear that Michel has lost his place on the depth chart. Honestly, he might have even lost his place on the roster altogether.

Damien Harris has been great when Michel was on the sidelines. Harris had three games of over 100 yards rushing while Michel was out. Also unlike Michel, Harris is able to gain yards at a reasonable rate.

Michel had a chance to show that he was still valuable to the Patriots, but he did the exact opposite. New England once again was shown that it’s time to move on from Michel. Just like Harry, Michel is a major bust.
