Boston Celtics: 3 things to watch on 2021 opening night – No.3: Can Boston stop Giannis Antetokounmpo?

If the Celtics want to go far in the Eastern Conference they need to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo. if they can’t there is no hope for the postseason.

Antetokounmpo re-signed with the Bucks and will be looking for one thing, he wants to win a championship.

It’s scary to see that Giannis has only improved as he has gotten older. If that’s the case what kind of performance will he have this season?

Boston needs to contain Giannis. If they can’t how are they supposed to make it to the NBA Finals?

It will be interesting to see who Stevens throws at Giannis. Expect plenty of Semi Ojeleye and Grant Williams. These guys are some of the best defenders on the team. Also Marcus Smart will have a major impact.

If these guys can mitigate the impact of Antetokounmpo, then Boston can go far. Boston’s defense will need to be much better than it was in the prior season.
