2. Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask is still one of the best goaltenders in the NHL.

Some Boston Bruins fans need to be reminded just how great the team has it when it comes to goaltending. Tuukka Rask is one of the best in the NHL today and one of the best goaltenders to ever put on the black and gold sweater.

Some fans had reservations about Rask after his departure from the bubble, but it’s fair to say that he calmed everyone’s nerves with his performance on Thursday night.

More from Boston Bruins

Rask stopped 20 of 22 shots on the night and it’s hard to complain about the goals he gave up. Particularly the 2nd goal seeing that it deflected so many times you would think that the ice was a pinball machine.

There’s also the fact that Rask bailed the Bruins out plenty of times.  He made plenty of great saves to keep Boston in the game.

Also, Rask was a brick wall in the shootout. He had a perfect outing against New Jersey’s best scorers.

So it looks like Rask will have another great season in 2021. He might even have the chance to win a Vezina Trophy and that means that the Bruins have a chance to bring the Stanley Cup back to TD Garden.
