Boston Bruins: 3 observations from Tuesday’s tumultuous win over Penguins – No.2: Tuukka Rask continues to be elite.

So far it’s safe to say that Tuukka Rask has come back with a vengeance. After having Bruins fans wrongfully accuse him of abandoning the team, Rask is dominating 2021.

On Tuesday Rask racked up 22 saves on the night. He made some great plays and some key stops. It was just another day at the office for the goaltender.

What was even more impressive was Rask’s effort after getting injured. He appeared to tweak something and it seemed like he would be heading off the ice.

But Rask stayed in the game and ensured that the Bruins were able to win on Tuesday. Boston clearly has one of the best goaltenders in the NHL.

After Tuesday, Rask is now 3-1 on the season. It’s clear that he is focused on winning and bringing a Stanley Cup back to Boston.

With his performance against the Penguins, Rask once again showed how valuable he is to the team. Bruins fans are lucky that they are able to watch him between the pipes. If he keeps up his level of play, Rask will be walking home with the  Vezina Trophy at the end of the 2021 season.
