Boston Bruins: 3 surprises so far this season – No.2: Trent Frederic

The main reason that Trent Frederic has become a fixture in the starting lineup is due to injuries, but he might have earned a permanent spot.

More from Boston Bruins

Frederic has been a beast on the ice. He is almost a bigger version of Brad Marchand. He is constantly agitating players and this usually ends with the Bruins on the power play.

But Frederic has also been a physical asset. He isn’t afraid to drop the gloves and also lays the lumber. Veteran Bruins fans will absolutely love how he plays the game.

Similar to Miller, Frederic doesn’t put up insane numbers. So far this season he only has an assist but he still makes an impact night in and night out.

So now the Bruins will have a tough decision to make when it comes to the starting lineup. It will be very hard to take Frederic out of the lineup. Even when the roster is healthy, it seems like Frederic would be a great addition to the fourth line.
