3 New York Islanders for Boston Bruins fans to watch in Round 2 – No.1: Mathew Barzal

There’s no doubt that the biggest threat for New York is Mathew Barzal. He is a lethal goal scorer who can dominate opponents.

Barzal won the Calder Trophy and has been a menace to defenders ever since he joined the league. Bruins fans will also love to remind everyone that Boston could have drafted him but decided not to.

This season was another successful one for Barzal. He had 17 goals and 28 assists in 2021. Barzal was another player who was successful against the Bruins with three goals and four assists in eight games.

Barzal is the big gun for New York. Boston needs to shut him down if they want to advance. It will be a big challenge for Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk.

Overall the Bruins have a good chance of advancing. They are the better team and have the better players, but if they don’t lockdown these three players the B’s could be in trouble.
