We are just over a week away from the start of the Boston Celtics 2021-22 campaign. With just two preseason games separating the team from the start of the regular season, the excitement for a fresh season is beginning to reach new levels.

It’s clear expectations for this upcoming season are going to be a bit different considering how last season went. Without a full offseason to recover, the team never found their footing, and finished with a measly 36-36 record. Along with the shortened offseason, the team struggled with COVID related absences all season long, had multiple players miss time with injuries, and failed to adequately fill in the roster to help the team cope with the grind of an NBA season.

With a full offseason under their belt, things should look different for the Celtics this upcoming season. They revamped their organization from top to bottom, and the changes should pay off handsomely. While it is just preseason action, the team has two wins in two games, which is definitely nice to see.

The attrition has already started though, as both Jaylen Brown and Al Horford have found themselves in the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols, putting their status for the season opener on October 20th in jeopardy. Nobody really knows what to expect from Boston this season, but the consensus is that they should be able to improve from last season. Let’s take a look at 3 bold predictions for the Celtics as they head into the 2021-22 season.
