Boston College Eagles: high-octane support

Flowers only had two receptions on the game but he made them count. Again wide-open, his second reception went for 39 yards and his second touchdown of the day. Flowers also had one carry for 14 yards but it was his receiving stat line that was all in a day’s work: two receptions, 87 yards, and two touchdowns.

He had plenty of help as Jurkovec completed passes to seven different receives. Freshman Jaden Williams, who had only four catches in the last four games, had three for 62 yards against Georgia Tech. Jaelen Gill also had a fine day, hauling in three passes for 57 yards.

It was also good to see tight end Trae Barry back in action. He’s gives an added dimension to this offense that’s been sorely missing as of late. Barry, the graduate transfer from Jacksonville State, hadn’t played since October 23 at Louisville.

Barry had two catches for 59 yards on Saturday.

Nearly everything was clicking on offense for Boston College, except for a little lull in the third quarter. It was a good thing the defense showed up then, or else this game might have got away from the Eagles.
