The Boston Celtics are riding high for maybe the first time all season long. Just two days after posting a 29 point victory over the Washington Wizards thanks to Jayson Tatum’s 51 point outing, the Celtics were back at it last night, and they trounced the Sacramento Kings to the tune of a 53 point victory.

Now this isn’t to say that the C’s beating up a pair of lower level teams is going to miraculously turn their season around, but these two games offered the clearest outlook of what this team’s potential is. With Tatum and Jaylen Brown seemingly getting into a consistent rhythm, Boston could be set to go on a bit of a run over the next few games. Of course, we have said that before, only to find ourselves sorely disappointed by another crushing loss.

Despite the Celtics recent two game showing of utter domination, it doesn’t change the fact that this team is still underachieving by a large margin. Trade speculation has been rampant in Boston recently, and that doesn’t figure to change until 3:01 P.M. EST on February 10th. The C’s are still going to make some moves to improve the team before the Trade Deadline, as they should.

One area that seems set to see a pretty decent amount of change is the guard position. Dennis Schroder is almost certainly set to get traded, while Marcus Smart and Josh Richardson’s names have been floating around in different rumors as well. Let’s take a look at two potential trades that could be part of renovating the guard depth chart for the second half of the season.
