Super Bowl Sunday is officially upon us. While the New England Patriots aren’t a part of the festivities this year, almost everyone who is a fan of football will surely be tuning in at some point to see whether the Cincinnati Bengals or Los Angeles Rams are crowned the victor of the 2021 NFL season.

Just because the Patriots season is over doesn’t mean the work is done, and there’s a lot they can learn from both teams playing in the big game this year. The Rams rebuilt their offense on the fly around veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, while the Bengals, who were in a similar spot as the Patriots coming into the season, revamped their defense and gave their young quarterback, Joe Burrow, some more targets to help unlock the offense.

The 2021 season was generally considered a success for the Pats. They managed to find their way back to the playoffs after just a one season hiatus, and things should only get better moving forward with Mac Jones leading the way at quarterback. A strong offseason could result in New England making a major leap forward next season.

For the better part of this decade, the New England Patriots and their fans have been spoiled with an abundance of Super Bowl appearences and victories. While the team is in a bit of a dry spell by their standards, they may not be as far away from their next Super Bowl appearance as people may think. So what needs to happen in order for the Pats to return to the big game? Let’s take a look at the three keys to making that happen, starting with getting some help on offense.
