The Boston Celtics are returning to our screens Tuesday night at 7:30 PM EST as they kick off their 2022-23 season against the Philadelphia 76ers. After making it all the way to the NBA Finals last season, the Celtics have one goal this season, and that is to raise Banner number 18 to the rafters.

It’s been a bit of a turbulent offseason for the C’s, especially as of late, but there are still a lot of reasons for optimism heading into the upcoming campaign. With the regular season getting underway tonight, let’s take a quick look at three bold predictions for the Celtics upcoming season and see what could happen for the team over the next few months.

Boston Celtics bold prediction No. 3: Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will both be All-Stars

Let’s start with a bold prediction that may come in on the tamer side, per se. Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are established superstars in the NBA now, and they very nearly guided Boston to a title last season. It took awhile for them to figure things out, but once they did at around the halfway point, there wasn’t a better team in the league.

That should help both guys get off to a fast start this season. Even with Ime Udoka now suspended for the entire season, the Celtics have a definitive style of basketball they play that the players became increasingly comfortable with last season. A big part of that involves Tatum and Brown being the stars they are on both sides of the court.

Tatum will be looking to continue to make an impact as a rebounder and passer in addition to his scoring capabilities, while Brown will be looking to be a more in control of his game than he was in the playoffs. As long as both players get healthy, they will have strong starts to the season and end up being selected as All-Stars for the 2023 iteration of the game.
