The Boston Bruins brought the series to 2-1 with a win in Game 3 on Friday night against the Florida Panthers by the score of 4-2.

The Bruins 1st win came on Monday when the B’s opened up with a win in Game 1.

Game 3 took place at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida as the Panthers as they would host Game 3 and 4 and 6 (if needed).

The Bruins were looking to bounce back after having an ugly 6-3 loss in Game 2 which involved boos from the home crowd at TD Garden, struggles and so many fights which say seven players get ejected from the game and ended the game early with three seconds left. Suffice to say the Bruins did bounce back but not without some changes to the lineup due to injury.

Major changes in the lineup for the Boston Bruins

Both David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron missed Game 3 due to injuries. Bergeron has an undisclosed injury while Krejci was a last-minute scratch with a upper-body injury.

Replacing Bergeron was Charlie Coyle who centered on the 1st line with Brad Marchand and Jake DeBrusk. Replacing Krejci on the 2nd line was Pavel Zacha who was center with Tyler Bertuzzi and David Pastrnak. In the 3rd line, Trent Frederic moved to center on the 3rd line with Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno.

Jakub Lauko made his playoff debut on the 4th line with Tomas Nosek and Garnet Hathaway as Lauko nearly registered a goal in the 2nd period by crashing the net.

Boston Bruins player of the game: Taylor Hall

Taylor Hall had a goal and an assist in Game 3 against the Panthers. The goal was Hall’s 2nd of the series as he scored in Game 2.

Hall scored the opening goal in the 1st period to bring it to 1-0 off a hopper from Dmitry Orlov who had 2 assists in this game.

Here’s how Hall got it past Panthers goaltender Alex Lyon.

Taylor Hall racked up his first assist of the series as he along with Jake DeBrusk assisted on the Nick Foligno goal that brought the game to 2-0.
