Patriots Unveil Sick Throwback Uniforms for Sunday Night Football

There’s not a lot you can get Patriots fans to agree on these days. Whether it’s Bill Belichick, Mac Jones or anything else Pats-related, everyone seems to have a different opinion.

One thing we can all agree on, though, is that we love those red Patriots threads. We’ll be getting our first look at them this season when New England breaks them out for their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Miami Dolphins this week.

Just beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Now that’s a throwback.

Patriots Throwback Jerseys

The red alternates are known as “Pat Patriot” jerseys and are a nod to the team’s original jerseys from its early years in the 1960s, long before New England had a football dynasty and long before Tom Brady was even born.

Well, I have to say, the jerseys still look fabulous. A lot has changed since then, but some things never go out of style.

The Patriots seem to love playing in them, too. They’re 10-4 all-time in the throwbacks, probably because their opponents can’t take their eyes off those fire engine-red tops.

If these jerseys do give New England a boost, the team could certainly use one after dropping its season opener to the Eagles in a 25-20 heartbreaker. Mac Jones and co. had multiple chances to win the game at the end, but just couldn’t get it done.

The Dolphins, on the other hand, are coming off a thrilling 36-34 win over the Chargers, so the Patriots will need to be at their best if they want to slow down Miami’s high-flying offense.

Win or lose, at least New England will look good doing it.
