2. Deatrich Wise, Defensive Line

There is something to be said for guys who can bring consistent productivity to the table in the NFL, and Deatrich Wise has done that. He's played through many different eras of Patriots football at this point, having been around since he was drafted in the 4th round back in 2017, but this is a key player you need in your locker room if you're a team like the Patriots.

And New England's front office, led by Eliot Wolf (for the time being) knows exactly what Wise brings to the table.

At the age of 30 this past season, Wise racked up another five sacks and eight quarterback hits along with three batted passes and 12 pressures. They aren't career-high or All-Pro numbers, but playing just 41 percent of the defensive snaps, Wise has proven himself to be a valuable piece defensively who could benefit anyone coming in.

Especially if the Patriots hire someone like Mike Vrabel. The Pats bringing Wise back into the mix for a year or two is a no-brainer. He was a captain for this 2024 Patriots team and is someone who has won before in this league. Those types of veterans are crucial for younger rosters, and the Patriots could keep him at a very team-friendly price.

Not that it matters with their absolute treasure trove of cap space.
