Wish 3: Pray the Warriors don’t make the Finals

Truly I could have "get the 1 seed" on this list too, but avoiding the Warriors I think honestly is more important.

Yes, the Celtics roster is better than the Warriors. I don’t think anyone would argue that, but we are all human.

Playing Golden State is bigger. Tatum is rightfully still upset over the Olympics, so he has a little extra motivation. Jaylen Brown is angry since he didn’t get picked and oh yeah, they beat you in 2022.

Including the Finals, over the last 10 matchups, the Warriors have won 7.

So, adding in the pressure of the NBA Finals, I think avoiding Golden State would be ideal. Steph Curry still got 40 on any given day and Draymond Green has a history of getting under players' skins.

Clearly not the same as 2022, of course, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole are gone, but Golden State has had the Warriors number recently.

Playing once this year already, Golden State won in Boston back on Nov. 6 and won 118-112. So, even after all the Paris drama, Steve Kerr still has Boston figured out.

So, if Boston can make it back to the NBA Finals, fans and players should hope that their matchup is not the Golden State Warriors. Which truthfully is very unlikely, GSW are currently the 10 seed, but to be safe, add it to the Christmas list.
