Jacksonville Jaguars

Mac Jones back with Bill Belichick? Well, that could happen as the Jaguars sit at 2-7. While franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence has yet to take that step, could Josh McDaniels (potential OC) help the former Clemson QB reach that?

Jacksonville is an interesting opportunity because owner Shahid Khan may be more willing to give the power Belichick is seeking. Full general manager control might be enough to convince him.

It has been noted that Khan and Belichick do have a relationship, but to what extent? Who knows? However, they have a young and talented roster in a wide-open division. So, the lure of a young QB, a decent roster, and an owner who could be willing to give up power could be all it takes to land Belichick.

While it is certainly a smaller market, Khan has shown a willingness to spend money, and their recent stadium renovations illustrate just that.

Lawrence is under contract until 2031, so if Belichick believes he can succeed with him, the job could be more attractive.

Unlike Jones, Khan may also be more patient with Belichick as he would likely strip the organization down and build it as he sees fit.

So, unlike Dallas, I think this fit will simply come down to if Belichick wants it. Khan has shown no signs that Doug Pederson could be out of a job come year's end, but if he does make a move, Belichick could be his first call.

Of course, as many New Englanders do when they get up in age, they move to Florida. So would Belichick follow the trend?
