Philadelphia Eagles

This job opening will truly come down to how the Eagles fare in the playoffs. Currently 6-2, the Eagles have perhaps the most talented roster on this list. However, after reaching the Super Bowl two years ago, Philadelphia collapsed last season.

After going 1-5 in their last six games before falling to Tampa Bay in Wild Card Weekend 32-9, speculations emerged that head coach Nick Sirianni and QB Jalen Hurts may not have the best relationship.

True or not, another playoff loss in Wild Card Weekend could be enough to convince Jeffrey Lurie to find a new head coach.

With a roster loaded with talent, the Eagles may opt to go with someone with experience in this coaching cycle. A name with decades of experience, Belichick could be the perfect fit.

An attractive landing spot for Belichick, the Eagles play in a huge market with a loaded roster. Questions could be brought up about whether Hurts is “the guy” or if they need to fix their secondary, but out of these five, Philadelphia is the most win-now group.

For a coach who is 72, a win-now team will give Belichick the best chance at reaching Don Shula’s win record and tying his former quarterback, Tom Brady with seven Super Bowls (as a head coach, won two as a DC for the New York Giants).

Similar to Dallas, this will come down to whether Lurie wants Belichick. The lure of Dallas may sway Belichick more than Philadelphia, but by pure roster, the Eagles are the best.

General manager Howie Roseman's job is very safe, so if the two can work together, it could be a great fit. Both are super motivated to win a Lombardi, so working together might be a perfect situation.

However, if Philadelphia wants a coach like Belichick, Mike Vrabel could also be their guy. If Lurie prefers someone a little younger or believes Belichick lost his fastball, the former Titans coach may deter Bill from this opening.
