If Bill Belichick wants to return to coaching next season, he will have some suitors.

New York Giants

Why not just name the whole NFC East? Well, I think Dan Quinn might have the third safest job in the entire league, behind only Andy Reid (Chiefs) and Dan Campbell (Lions).

Returning to the team he won two Super Bowls with as a defensive coordinator, the Giants might be Belichick’s dream final job.

Clearly a huge market, the Giants sit at 2-7, dead last in the NFC East. With many question marks, the Giants might require much more work than Belichick is seeking at his age.

Current head coach Brian Daboll, former Patriots assistant, may also have a hand in this situation. Meaning, the Giants hired NE special teams coach Joe Judge in 2020 before firing him two seasons later.

The team then went after Bills OC Brian Daboll. Making the playoffs in year one, Daboll looks destined to miss the playoffs for the second year in a row.

So, would John Mara go after another former Patriots coach for a third time? Now, one can argue Belichick is different, but the fact is, his coaching style may be similar. So, Mara could look to go in a whole different direction.

Signed through 2026, Daniel Jones' contract is another factor in this decision. If Belichick thinks he can win with him, then he may be willing to return to New York.

I do not think this is his preferred landing spot, but if Dallas and Philadelphia stay with their current coaches, would he be desperate enough to take the job?

Like Jacksonville, I think this mostly comes down to whether Belichick wants it. Now, I do think going with a third former New Englander as their coach should be a factor, but time will tell if Belichick will return to his old stomping grounds.

However, in my belief, the other three jobs will be the preferred spot for the media mogul.
