Chicago Bears

Shifting out west, the Chicago Bears are an interesting attraction. Clearly, Caleb Williams is the face of the franchise if the Bears move on from head coach Matt Eberflus, but would they opt for Belichick?

A franchise known for defense, the Bears may strongly push for OC Ben Johnson. However, if Virginia McCaskey (Bears owner) wanted to continue with their defensive brand, Belichick could be their guy.

If Belichick opts to bring McDaniels as his OC, he could focus mainly on the defense. McDaniels, as he did with Mac Jones in his rookie campaign, could help mentor and train the former USC Heisman winner.

Now, I think Chicago could push hard for Johnson, but perhaps they want a veteran coach. A franchise known for having non-elite QBs, Williams could have a huge voice in this matter.

So, would he really want to bring in McDaniels and Belichick? Perhaps, but he also may prefer a young offensive mind like Ben Johnson or Lincoln Riley. To me, this is the least likely spot for Belichick.

Just with his age and history, Chicago has a generational quarterback and may want someone in for the long haul. Employing Belichick would likely only be a three-to-five year commitment, so does that really make sense?

Truthfully, other teams like Carolina or the New York Jets crossed my mind, but I don’t see either having an interest in each other. Especially in Carolina, Belichick would have to basically rebuild an entire franchise with an owner who has shown to be impatient.
