Bill Belichick Takes Shot at Jets Over Robert Salah Firing
The New England Patriots are 1-4 on the season and have dropped three games in a row. They decided to hand over the starting quarterback gig to Drake Maye, as they look to find a spark.
They weren't the only team in the AFC East who were looking to find some juice. On Tuesday morning, the New York Jets made a shocking move and fired head coach Robert Saleh after being hired in 2021.
The Jets are 2-3 but have lost two games in a row. The 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5 seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back and owner Woody Johnson decided to pull the plug.
There has been a lot of confusion on why the Jets parted ways with Saleh, and former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is someone who doesn't get the move.
During an episode of "Coach Podcast", Belichick expressed his confusion on why the Jets fired Saleh.
""It is a little bit puzzling. It is what it is, and everybody has to move forward. It's the owner's prerogative to make that decision, and clearly that's what he decided to do. But there have been a lot of things that have been kind of confusing. It hasn't been a great situation for the Jets this year. You can kind of feel there's been kind of a chill."

Many people will point out that Saleh is a defensive-minded coach and that unit playing at a high level. But regardless of that, the rest of the team didn't seem to be prepared. That led to the organization pulling the plug and sending shockwaves throughout the NFL.
Even Belichick is puzzled by the move but we all know he despises the Jets. He'll take any chance to throw a jab at New York.
