A former New England Patriots wide receiver is on the open market again after being released by the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday.
Veteran wideout Kristian Wilkerson only spent a pair of seasons with the Patriots but he had one memorable performance against New England's AFC rival, the Jacksonville Jaguars, during Week 17 of the 2022 regular season campaign. Wilkerson torched the Jags in that matchup to the tune of four receptions for 42 yards and a pair of touchdown receptions.

Kristian Wilkerson Got Cut by the Raiders
Following his stint with the Patriots, Wilkerson joined the Raiders as a member of the team's practice squad. He was ultimately elevated to the active roster for two games during the 2023 season and made one start for Las Vegas. He did not record any statistics in either of those games, however.
This past season, Wilkerson made three appearances for the Raiders and brought in a pair of receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown. The former Southeast Missouri State University standout signed a reserve/futures contract with Las Vegas in January before ultimately being waived.
It is hard to guess what the future will hold for Wilkerson as opportunities to latch on with NFL teams are getting more difficult to find with each passing day. The most opportune route for the former Patriots wideout to take could very well be finding a practice squad in need of a wide receiver and hoping that an opportunity to be elevated to the active roster comes at some point during the regular season.
With the moves that Mike Vrabel and company have already made at the wide receiver position, New England likely won't be one of the potential destinations that Wilkerson seeks out. Despite that being the case, Patriots fans will likely be pulling for him to get picked up by some franchise.
