The New England Patriots headed into the offseason needing to add talent to their roster. Since free agency started on Monday, New England has added 11 new players, seven on defense and four on offense. Although both sides of the ball needed free-agent additions, many fans are disappointed with the lack of offensive additions so far.

That said, one of the few offensive additions the Patriots did make has already made a strong impression on fans and media. On Thursday, new offensive tackle Morgan Moses had some strong words for his new teammates and everyone in New England.

The 34-year-old tackle said, "You don't need a miracle to win football games, you just need the right people in the building.. You know CD {Carlton Davis} won a Super Bowl, Milton {Williams} just won a Super Bowl. They're going to bring knowledge of the game on how to have longevity through weeks 18,19,20 when it hurts, when people want to tap out."

Moses added, " No adversity that touches us on the field is going to be able to break us because we're going to have an unbelievable bond. So when we run out through that tunnel on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays, you gon’ see something different."

Morgan Moses's First Comments as a Patriot Make Him Instant Fan Favorite

After last season, Moses's comments are exactly what fans want to hear. In 2024, the Patriots seemed to lack the brotherhood and ability to learn and adapt, he mentioned. For instance, one week, they would play inspired football, and then the next, they would play completely flat.

A squad that has brotherhood plays hard for their fellow man every week. Furthermore, they hold each other accountable and never make the same mistake twice.

While Moses's words show leadership, his play on the field must match it. Throughout his career, he has been a solid tackle. Moses's best season came in 2020, recording an 80.6 overall grade. 70.8 pass-blocking grade and an 85.9 run-blocking grade, according to PFF. Moreover, he allowed five sacks, 13 QB hurries, 20 QB hits, and 38 QB pressures in 2020.

Although Moses has never had elite numbers, it's certainly better than what Drake Maye had protecting him last season. Nevertheless, the 34-year-old has the chance to be one of the fan's favorite signings if he plays well in 2025 and keeps saying the right things.
