The New England Patriots won two of their last three to right the ship. They are still 3-7 and at the bottom of the AFC East, but the future is looking brighter for the young Patriots. With their next three games coming against beatable opponents like the Rams, Dolphins, and the Colts, New England could make the final stretch of their season very interesting for its fans.

Despite the improvement, the Patriots are still a poor offensive team, especially in the passing game. They have one of the most questionable WR rotations in the league, and that group has unsurprisingly failed to exceed expectations.

Kendrick Bourne, as the most experienced and competent wide receiver in the rotation, has also disappointed so far. After having a great first half of the season in 2023 before suffering a torn ACL in Week 8, Bourne hasn't been at that level this season.

Yet, it was still shocking when he was benched in Week 10 against the Bears and didn't see a single snap. Neither the team nor the veteran WR provided a good enough explanation or a reason why.

In another surprise twist, the Patriots are now planning to give Bourne snaps against the Rams on Sunday, per insider Mike Reiss.

Patriots News: Kendrick Bourne Back in the Lineup in Week 11

While Bourne's role in Week 11 is still undetermined, it will likely come at the expense of Ja'Lynn Polk and K.J. Osborn's snaps. Even though none of the Patriots receivers have been particularly impressive this season, Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte have been the two best wideouts. They will continue to get the lion's share of snaps, while Bourne will presumably compete with Polk and Osborn for a WR3 workload.
