The New England Patriots have fully turned the page onto the offseason after a shaky 2024 campaign. After going 4-13, the Patriots made Mike Vrabel the 16th head coach in team history.

The front office is staying most intact. They added Ryan Cowden to the staff to make him the No. 2 behind Eliot Wolf. On Friday, it was reported that executive vice president of football business Robyn Glaser will be resigning. That wasn't the only move that came from New England.

According to Mike Reiss of ESPN, the Patriots are moving on from TEs coach Bob Bicknell, RBs coach Taylor Embree, WRs coach Tyler Hughes, coaching assistant Keith Jones, and assistant WRs coach Tiquan Underwood.

The Patriots moving on from four offensive coaches isn't surprising. In 2024, New England ranked 31st in total offense (291.9), 32nd in passing offense (176.1), and 30th in scoring offense (17).

The Pats need new voices in the building, especially on the offensive end. Vrabel didn't want to waste time keeping coaches around who wouldn't play a factor in the rebuild.

Although Wolf and Cowden are in the front office, Vrabel is the most powerful person in the organization. The 49-year-old played for New England from 2001-2008. Robert Kraft wanted to bring Vrabel back and did anything possible to make that happen.

With multiple voids along the offensive staff, Vrabel and Co. have their work cut out. Guys like Josh McDaniels, Nick Caley, Todd Downing, Tim Kelly, Charles London, and John Streicher are a couple of names linked to the vacant offensive coordinator position.

That seems like the most important vacancy right now and has the focus of the organization. In the meantime, they wanted to let go of many coaches who were a part of the 2024 team.
