Patriots Provide Drake Maye Injury Update After MRI News
The New England Patriots handed the reins to Drake Maye in Week 6. The North Carolina product showed a bunch of flashes in his debut, going 20-of-33 for 243 yards, 38 rushing yards, and three passing touchdowns.
He gave the passing attack a much-needed spark, but Maye popped up on Wednesday's injury report. Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt discussed the young signal caller's status on Thursday and didn't sound worried.
Patriots News: Drake Maye Looked Good in Wednesday’s Practice
When speaking to team reporters, Van Pelt was asked about Maye's health status and he didn't seem bothered.
"Not concerned. Looked good to me yesterday."

Maye was a full participant during Wednesday's session, as he was listed with a knee injury. In his lone start last week, the Pats already posted a season-high 209 total passing yards.
Maye's ability to push the ball downfield and give his receivers a shot is something the Patriots lacked. New England is slated to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in the final contest of the 2024 London Games on Sunday.
That is a very winnable game for the Patriots with the Jags also sitting at 1-5. Just last week, the Chicago Bears blew out Jacksonville 35-16 in London.
Having Maye under center gives the Patriots the best chance to secure the win. Thursday's injury report will provide a clearer indication of Maye's status in Week 7 but the arrow is pointing up for the young quarterback.
