The New England Patriots have been very aggressive this offseason to improve the roster for the 2025 season.

The Pats had the most cap space in the league, and they made sure to use a nice chuck of it to add difference-makers. The Pats don't seem to be done either, as they hosted WR Stefon Diggs for a visit on March 20.

The visit went very well, as both sides stated they would keep in touch. While New England looks to sign Diggs for the 2025 season, some positive news regarding his rehab has emerged.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Diggs is "ahead of schedule" and is running "full speed" as he rehabs from a torn ACL.

Stefon Diggs Rehab from Torn ACL is Going Well

In a Week 8 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts last season, Diggs went down with a torn ACL on a non-contact injury. That ended his 2024 season, but he's already looking forward to bouncing back in 2025.

Diggs spent one season with the Texans and was a productive player through the first seven weeks. He racked up 47 catches for 496 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Prior to landing with the Texans, Diggs was with the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills.

In his 10-year career, Diggs has notched 857 receptions for 10,491 receiving yards and 70 touchdowns, including six seasons with more than 1,000 receiving yards.

The Pats badly need a No. 1 WR for Drake Maye, and Diggs could potentially be that option. He added fuel to the fire, as he recently followed Maye on Instagram. That caught the attention of the fans, hinting that Diggs may be open to signing with the Pats.

It remains to be seen if anything crosses the finish line but it's clear that Diggs will be ready to roll for the 2025 season and Pats fans hope it's with them.
