The Patriots saw three offensive linemen leave training camp early with injuries by the conclusion of Tuesday’s training camp session.

It was the sixth training camp meeting when right tackle Morgan Moses and center Garrett Bradbury left practice hobbling off the field. The other injury is to recently signed tackle Yasir Durant, who was a late depth addition for camp.

Moses took part in one-on-ones against defensive linemen, but he would leave shortly after that. He made his way back to the field to be with the team, but he didn’t rejoin practice.

Durant was the next to leave. He took part in team drills and was easily beat by K’Lavon Chaisson, that would’ve resulted in a sack. He also was beaten by Truman Jones on another play.

Bradbury left later in the practice after being at the bottom of a pileup during a full 11-on-11 at the goal line. He walked off the field and was unable to return.

Patriots Have Seen Rookie Linemen Step up in Camp Thus Far

This allowed the Patriots to get a more extensive and detailed look at rookie Jared Wilson, who’s getting reps at left guard and center with the first and second units. It’s being heavily reported that Wilson won both of his one-on-one matchups, going up against Christian Barmore and Milton Williams.

With Moses expected to start and Bradbury being a possible starter, the Patriots have already lost their top two veteran free-agent additions for the offensive line.

The right side of the line will essentially be incomplete without Moses, with the next man up being Demontrey Jacobs, who has struggled to block the edge rushers coming in off the left side of the defense.

Additional depth we’ve seen on the offensive line during camp has been with rookie seventh-round pick Marcus Bryant, who has been repping behind Will Campbell at left tackle, as he’s expected to be the Week 1 starter.

Bryant hasn’t worked much on the right side, but maybe he will to add more depth to the right side if Moses being injured becomes a regular occurrence.

Considering yesterday’s injuries, it’s worth keeping an eye on undrafted rookie free agent Jack Conley who has positional versatility along the entire offensive line and a connection with offensive line coach Doug Marrone. For what it’s worth, Conley is the largest player on the Patriots roster at 6’7” and 333 lbs, according to Patriots.com.

Another note to keep in mind is that starting two rookies on the same side of the offensive line is a real option that New England is going to have to consider with Campbell and Wilson.

As training camp continues on with padded practices, we’ll start to see how this offensive line shapes up and which five linemen give the Patriots the best chance of winning.
