3. Lawrence Guy, defensive line

Lawrence Guy has been in the NFL since 2012 and has played the majority of his career -- 7 seasons -- as a member of the New England Patriots. The Patriots cut Guy back in February before the start of free agency, meaning the end of an era for the longest-tenured defender on the team.

Between the playoffs and regular season, Guy appeared in 118 total games for the Patriots, racking up 379 total tackles and helping the Patriots' defense to a dominating win over the Los Angeles Rams back in Super Bowl LIII.

Guy was obviously an outstanding veteran presence for the Patriots and someone who played a consistent and substantial role for them over the years. Since joining the Patriots in 2017, Guy hasn't played fewer than 500 snaps in an individual season. He's been a team captain for the Patriots in the past and you have to think that moving on from him was simply a matter of this team wanting to get younger all across the board.

But with his overall level of experience, there's no doubt that some team with playoff aspirations in 2024 will look to add Guy to their roster. Again, this is a player who has exceeded 500 total snaps in each of the last seven years. He's proven himself to be a strong veteran option and even going into his age-34 season, he should be in someone's defensive line rotation this coming year.

Not only should playoff teams look into signing him, but maybe teams that also have a lot of youth on the defensive line. Guy could come in and show a young group how you have longevity as a pro.
