2. JuJu Smith-Schuster, wide receiver, Chiefs

The writing was on the wall all offseason for JuJu Smith-Schuster and the New England Patriots. Especially after the Patriots went after both Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker in the 2024 NFL Draft, it was clear that the Patriots would be moving on from their 2023 free agent signing.

And unfortunately, Smith-Schuster was a massive free agency whiff.

The Patriots didn't benefit financially from cutting Smith-Schuster, they just didn't want him on their team anymore. The guy obviously cares more about making Tik Toks than he does making plays on the field at this point, that much is clear. Smith-Schuster proved exactly that in Week 1 as he certainly made a pre-game Tik Tok but didn't follow that up with any production on the field.

He even got clowned by his old Steelers teammate Antonio Brown after the game in which he had zero catches for zero yards.

The Chiefs welcomed JuJu Smith-Schuster back into the fold pretty easily. They cut the likes of Kadarius Toney in order to bring Smith-Schuster back into the fold, giving him his old number back and everything. And he was out there with the top offense early in the game against the Ravens, so JuJu pretty much picked back up right where he left off as a member of the Chiefs.

And he may yet end up making some big plays for Kansas City, but we certainly didn't see it in Week 1. The Chiefs beat the Ravens, but it wasn't because of anything Smith-Schuster did. In fact, he had a chance on his only target of the night and couldn't come down with the ball.
