The New England Patriots have undergone a lot of turnaround this offseason. That shouldn't be a shocker to people around the league though. They have a new head coach Jerod Mayo and general manager Eliot Wolf running the ship.

They are looking to shape the roster in the best way they see fit and they just made a massive move shipping out Matthew Judon.

After weeks of back and forth with Judon, the Pats can finally put this behind them. There are still three weeks before the regular season begins and more players will be released, opening up some roster spots.

The Patriots will be rebuilding but there are some free agents available that they can still add. Below we'll discuss three free agents the Pats must sign after shipping out Judon.

1. David Bakhtiari, OT

The Patriots have a veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett under center but many people expect Drake Maye to eventually take over.

The next biggest thing is making sure your QB is protected and upright. The Patriots drafted Caedan Wallace in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft and signed Chukwuma Okorafor in free agency. But adding someone like Bakhtiari would be a smart move.

Although he's been dealing with knee injuries since 2020, he's believed to be healthy and ready to roll this season. When he was on the field, the 32-year-old was one of the top tackles in the NFL.

Yes, I know that was a few years ago but having a veteran like that in the offensive line room could go a long way. Especially for a rookie like Wallace. This would be a low-cost signing that could pay dividends for New England.
