4. Quintez Cephus, WR

At some point, some NFL team is going to take a shot on Quintez Cephus again, so why not the New England Patriots? Cephus is serving a suspension for betting on NFL games and obviously, that's a huge red flag. But it also allows teams to acquire him with virtually no strings attached. You can take a zero tolerance policy with a player like this.

The Detroit Lions cut Cephus just about as soon as the news came out about his suspension, but the former Wisconsin Badger has NFL talent and the Patriots need a lot of help at the WR position.

He's got 34 receptions for 548 yards and 4 TDs in his first few NFL seasons, averaging almost 16 yards per catch.

5. Trill Williams, CB

Again, I love the idea of going after cornerbacks when it comes to adding players on reserve/futures contracts. The Patriots could look at Trill Williams and see someone who could eventually work his way into a role as a nickel defensive back and/or special teams contributor.

Williams showed off some versatility when he was at Syracuse, and you have to think the Patriots' scouting department would have liked that aspect of his game. I think he would be a very worthwhile addition to the offseason 90-man roster to see if he can be a steal.
