The New England Patriots have a new era underway. After 24 seasons as the head coach of the Pats, Bill Belichick was let go by the organization in January.

They handed over to keys to Jerod Mayo as the head coach with Eliot Wolf as the general manager in New England.

Belichick is just 26 wins away from tying Don Shula for the most wins as a head coach at 328. Some reports were circulating that Belichick was enjoying life too much to head back into coaching. He has been seen dating 24-year-old Jordon Hudson and they've been living with each other for months.

Despite this news, it sounds like the 72-year-old is looking to get back on the sideline.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero was a guest host on The Rich Eisen Show, where he revealed that Belichick wants to be a head coach again in 2025.

"Bill Belichick intends to coach in 2025. He's staying engaged in the game. He's showing up to roasts. He's now going to be on Inside the NFL. We've seen him showing up to different events. He's fully invested in he wants to coach again. He wants to pursue the all-time wins record. Those are things that really matter a lot to Bill Belichick."

This shouldn't come as a surprise. This offseason alone, Belichick was linked to the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles job.

Although he didn't land any of those, it already looked like Belichick wasn't ready to fully step away from the game. Especially since he's close to the all-time coaching record.

There will be multiple coaching openings next offseason, as there is every year in the NFL. During his tenure in New England, Belichick notched 19 double-digit winning campaigns. He will be looking for the right opportunity next offseason as he chases Shula's infamous record.

As he waits for the right destination, he will join "Inside the NFL" as an analyst this fall. In addition, he going to be a weekly guest on The Pat McAfee Show.
