The New England Patriots are loaded with assets for the offseason after they had a disappointing year in 2023. The Patriots went 4-13 and finished last in the AFC East.

Rolling into 2024, New England has a whopping $101 million in cap space and seven draft picks, including the No. 3 overall pick.

They are likely going to part ways with Mac Jones after three inconsistent years with the Patriots. So that means they will be in the market for a quarterback.

The NFL Scouting Combine is happening down in Indianapolis and the Patriots have met with plenty of the top prospects to see who could be a potential fit in Foxborough. It seems like one player stood out in particular.

Jayden Daniels of the LSU.

Patriots News: Jayden Daniels Has Emerged As The Most-Likely Selection for the No. 3 Overall Pick

According to Jeff Howe of the Athletic, Daniels is the favorite to end up in New England after the NFL Scouting Combine.

Daniels is a dynamic, dual-threat signal under center. The 23-year-old uses his top-notch athleticism to make plays with his legs and has very good deep-ball accuracy.

In 2023 at LSU, Daniels threw for 3,812 passing yards with 40 passing touchdowns. Additionally, he ran for 1,134 rushing yards and 10 rushing scores.

The California native still needs to develop more as a passer but he would immediately provide much-needed hope to the organization and the fanbase.

Getting better at quarterback is a must in the offseason and the Patriots are in a great position with the No. 3 overall pick.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, however, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye are neck and neck in odds (+170) to be the third overall pick. Head over to FanDuel to claim your sign-up bonus and bet on who you think the Patriots will select as their franchise QB.
