The 2024 NFL Draft is over and the New England Patriots have made eight selections that they hope to bring in, develop, and make part of this team's success going forward. This also means that Patriots fans are now getting to know the newest members of their team. One of the draftees looks like he is ready to become an instant fan favorite.

Wide receiver Javon Baker out of UCF already caught the fans' attention by taking to social media after he was selected with the 110th-overall pick by the Patriots. Calling out the other teams that passed on him, the talented wideout said the rest of the league are going to regret letting him slide to the fourth round.

Now, he has an even better quote describing his game.

New Patriots WR Javon Baker Looking to Be Instant Fan Favorite

In another video, Baker invites Patriots fans to Gillette Stadium and tells them to bring their popcorn. Showcasing the confidence he has in himself, the former UCF star says that he makes "people in wheelchairs stand up".

It is certainly exciting to see a young athlete bet on himself and have all the confidence in the world. Baker was able to carve out a successful collegiate career despite struggling in his first two seasons at Alabama. After transferring to UCF, his production took off, as he finished his senior season with 1,139 yards, and seven touchdowns in 13 games. Most impressive, however, was his whopping 21.9 yards per catch, highlighting his big-play ability.

The Patriots needed more playmakers and they certainly got some in the draft with Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. If they both pan out the way New England is hoping for, this Pats offense might look more dynamic than it has over the last couple of years.
