The New England Patriots were one of the teams who underwent the most change this offseason. They changed head coaches and quarterbacks before the 2024 season and are expected to be a rebuilding team.

Regardless of the expectations for the team rolling into the year, the Pats upset the Cincinnati Bengals 16-10 to start the season off 1-0.

Now in Week 2, they will be hosting the Seattle Seahawks but just caught a huge break ahead of the matchup.

NFL News: Kenneth Walker III Is Listed as Doubtful

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Seahawks are listing running back Kenneth Walker III as doubtful with an oblique injury.

Walker III not suiting up would be a massive advantage for the Patriots, as he's their RB1. In Week 1 against the Denver Broncos, the Michigan State product finished with 20 carries for 103 yards, and one touchdown. He's an explosive ball carrier who can make defenders miss and owns the speed to take it the distance.

Now, the Seahawks will likely be without a key difference maker. The 23-year-old failed to practice on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, likely ending his chances of suiting up.

His absence means that Zach Charbonnet will see a larger workload and that benefits the Patriots. Last season, Charbonnet logged 108 carries for 462 yards, and a touchdown.

In the win over the Bengals last week, the Patriots held them to 70 rushing yards and will look to have a similar performance on Sunday.

This also puts more pressure on the passing attack led by Geno Smith. We'll have to wait and see how the game pans out but this is positive news for New England.
