It's a new era over in Foxborough in 2024. Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf are the two men in charge of running the show while the Pats just locked down their new franchise quarterback.
After weeks of speculation, New England decided to select North Carolina's Drake Maye with the third overall pick to become the franchise quarterback as they open a new chapter.
This selection comes one month after they traded Mac Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a 2024 sixth-round pick.
Maye was been with the Patriots for less than 24 hours but he's already getting better treatment than Jones.

Patriots News: Drake Maye Already Receiving Better Treatment than Mac Jones
Maye was at the Patriots facility on April 26 to meet members of the organization. He was recorded walking to his locker for the first time and pulled out his jersey. The former UNC standout will be wearing No. 10 but didn't have to wait to receive that number in comparison to Jones.
When Jones was a rookie, he infamously donned No. 50 in training camp before being awarded No. 10.

Every year, the Patriots give that number to their first rookie drafted.
Last night, Mac returned to 10, his Alabama number.

It was an awkward look for the Alabama product that just looked out of place. He eventually switched over to No. 10 but it took some time.
Luckily for Maye, he won't have to wait. He wore No. 10 in college and now gets to wear it in the NFL.
The same number was worn by the aforementioned Jones and former Pats quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
That isn't a high bar to clear for the 21-year-old but there seems to be a new culture over in New England.
