It's been an offseason of changes for the New England Patriots. The Patriots went 4-13 and finished last in the AFC East. Rumors were circulating all season on if Bill Belichick would be gone after the season and that's exactly what happened.

On Jan. 11, the Patriots and Belichick parted ways after 24 seasons together. New England then stayed in-house to hire Jerod Mayo as the head coach and made Eliot Wolf the general manager.

Although Belichick is no longer the lead man, he will always be known for anchoring the Pats dynasty.

April 16 is Belichick's birthday and he turned 72 years old. His former employer decided to give him a birthday shoutout on Twitter but kept it very simple. The caption just said, "HBD, BB".

Patriots News: Bill Belichick Was Given a Birthday Shoutout by New England on Twitter

Belichick has been one of the best coaches in the history of the NFL. During his 24-year run with the Patriots, he went 266-121 in the regular season and 30-12 in the playoffs, including nine AFC Championship Game appearances.

He managed to win six Super Bowl titles with nine trips to the Super Bowl.

Things certainly took a turn for the Pats when Tom Brady left town in 2020. Over the next four seasons, New England went 29-38, failing to reach the playoffs in three of the last four years.

Even though things didn't end on a high note between these two sides, the Patriots still posted a happy birthday to the greatest coach in franchise history. The post didn't have much emotion in it but never did Belichick during his time in New England.
