The 2024 NFL regular season is upon us. Teams have been shuffling things around for the past eight months to prepare for this fall.

Now the time is finally here and the excitement is sky-high. The Patriots changed a lot of things around the building and expectations are tempered for the first time in a while.

Even though the Patriots are at the beginning stages of a rebuild, fans are still itching to see their team on the field. This past week, teams around the NFL were forced to get the roster down to 53 players.

The Pats fulfilled this requirement and had to let go of some quality guys. But just a few days after roster cutdown day, New England brought back a defender they just released.

New England News: Patriots Re-Signed Isaiah Bolden

On Aug. 28, the Patriots released cornerback Isaiah Bolden as they were playing the numbers game. It was a risk but it worked out for New England.

On Friday, the Pats announced they were bringing Bolden back onto the practice squad. He was drafted by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft and impressed the staff this summer.

New England views Bolden as a versatile defensive piece who can line up in the slot, on the outside, and even play on special teams.

During training camp head coach Jerod Mayo said, "He's one of our fastest guys on the team. He should be a demon on special teams and obviously has some defensive capabilities, so I'm excited to see him, especially when we put the pads on.".

In the preseason, the Jackson State product had four total tackles, one sack, and one pass deflection.

Now he will have a chance to get elevated to the 53-man roster and play during the 2024 season for New England.
